Interest rates for home loans?

I am planning to take a home loan now to take adv of the tax beneifts! Which are the Bank/HFCs that offer lower interest rates and good service! pls keep in mind the pre-closure penalty while suggesting soem as i think i am likely to pre-close!

Currently PSU banks have the lowest interest rates. Though they may not have as good a service as say ICICI or Citi but they do not have a pre-payment penalty clause. This one clause can potentially save you thousands of rupees during thw whole tenure of the Loan. If you are not totally price concious and also want a little bit of coustomer service, I would suggest go for a bigger PSU bank like SBI or PNB. A bit more interest rate than absolute lowest offered by Syndicate Bank but a whole percentage point lower than many private sector banks. Also with banks like SBI you get a decent enough service and a large bank network (in likely case you may service your loan from some other place)

Here is the comparative statement.|||Syndicate Bank and Corporation Bank offer the lowest rates on home loan. ( not sure about their service, just keep in mind they are government enterprise )

People with best experience in giving out home loans are the HDFC.
