Do Muslims use Banks?

I realise that in strict obserance of the Koran, usury is forbidden, but the rate of interest offered by most banks in investment accounts is way below the actual current rate of inflation. So no one would be defrauded or exploited and you would benefit as your monies lying static would only lose due to depreciation/inflation.. And even if it did turn a profit, would not this be a convenient way of offering %26#039;Zakat%26#039; ? It would certainly help the economy out there as a whole.

yes we do?|||most Muslims in western countries do now.... b/ it would be very hard to live a normal life without doing so.... however for Muslims that are more strict about this there are a few Muslim banks that offer loans and such interest free

Islamic banking has been gaining popularity recently. Just do a google search to find out more.|||yes they use banks but some muslims use only current account without any interest.or they prefer to do islamic banking|||It%26#039;s amazing that they don%26#039;t pay interest on loans etc. I woul like to know if they accept any return on an investment. and I really hate Banks....|||yes , they do, however the bank interests are haram ( wrong) in islam ,so there are so many fatwas how to deal with this matter, also so many banks now started to take care of that for muslims , and more over there are many islamic banks now in many countries.|||They must do.
